Buying a new graphics card just got pricier again. Nvidia has rolled out its third price increase of 2026, raising GeForce RTX cards by 20% to 30%, following two earlier hikes already applied in January and May.

AMD follows with its own increase

Within the same ten-day window, AMD raised the wholesale price of the GPU-and-memory kits it sells to board partners by roughly 10%. Costs added at that stage tend to work their way down to shelf prices sooner or later.

Memory is the root cause again

Both increases trace back to the same issue that's been pushing up PC prices generally: Samsung has raised its DRAM prices by around 20% this quarter, squeezing GPU makers' margins and pushing them to pass the cost on to buyers. The effect is already visible — in China, some RTX 5070 Ti listings jumped 21.8% and RTX 5070 listings climbed 16.2% within a single 24-hour window. If you've been holding off on a graphics card upgrade, comparing prices sooner rather than later is worth it.
